Polaroid Cameras – a love and hate relationship

in Analog (FILM) Photog9 days ago

I have a condition, if I see a functioning POLAROID camera I have to buy it. Of course I do not buy all of the Polaroids I would like to (that would just ruin me financially) I already spent a decent amount on these fine pieces. But the most expensive part of the game is buying the instant film. It is really not a cheap hobby but it is a nice one! You can see the magic happen :)

Since a few months I made it my goal to buy and resell old cameras as a side hustle. I am all about generating new income streams and since I know a little bit about cams I feel confident that I will have some level of success. I am taking it slow though.

But I have a decent collection of mainly functioning polaroid cameras and I have a bunch of expired film as well.
I will show you here a random collection of POLAROIDS and POLAROID cameras. I hope. this still fits in the Analog (Film) community. After all instant film is a film too :)
If anyone wants to get themselves a cam like this well here is the deal:

Click on the link below and have a look at this super nice stylish piece.
This is the first time I digitalized a real world asset as an NFT. On purchase you will have proof of ownership of the camera. The shipping costs are not included in the price since it depends where the package has to go. It is fully functional and you can get yourself instant film from polaroid originals website.

I hope you enjoyed this little journey in the world of instant film.

I still shoot instant every now and again. Niceee!

I am eager to see the pictures :) Thanks😇

oh really ?!?!?! would like to see the images

Do you own a Polaroid SX-70 Landcamera?
Love that one, cool camera with sonar focus.

I have 2 on the right side on the bottom picture, unfortunately one of them does not work :(

Aha, A lot of the camera's are called SX 70 I guess.
I mean the silver classic model1

Cool collection you have there!

exactly collapsing SX-70

I have 2 of the folding sx70 was really lucky to get them very cheap I paid about 80€ for both, they are not in perfect condition but they work. In the hipster shops in Vienna you can buy them from 190€ to some even over 300€, crazy!

Crazy prices!
I will be on the look-out when fleemarkets reopen!

Cool old cameras, and cool to do some cool fan photos :)
I hope you have get lot cool photos . This days this cameras prices go lot up and it is more hard to get them.
I'm sure that next 10 year they are lot more expensive then just now.

Thanks, yes I have to look for them though my photo den is just a mess :)

ok :))

yes all this old stuff is raising up so hurry up my friend :-)

If it go to fast up price , I think I not go buy all them :)) ... what go up must come down also ;) But we see :)))

right now during recent 6-8 years all the Analog stuff is only going up.
some cameras got x5 in price. some are still waiting until this hipster will find their interest in them.
two weeks ago I bought a new toy Canon P made in 1960 just for $200 and I know that it will be x4 just in a few years. And this camera is a real thing built like a tank, copied from a Leica camera. I'm photographing the first roll with it these days to see if everything is working well. Already bought two Russian lenses for it, this lens was built for Leica cameras in 74 and 76. I'm talking about Jupiter 50 and Jupiter 12 crazy good lens still not expensive if you know the right place to buy them.

I am hunting for these! My next post propably is going to be about all the lenses I bought over time :)

sounds good my friend. all this old stuff made so good :-)

and this collection is stunning.
i love the forms and the shapes of the Polaroid cameras especially of SX-70 and Land 250 or 180

firstly - such beautiful portraits you took on Polaroid
second - this community is every kind of Analog photography as written in the community description - film 35 and 120, Large Format and Instant
and 3rd thing - so glad to see this contribution together with and explains and the link to the NFT - the real camera that you sell.

Thank you! Polaroid makes you even slow down more and not think twice but 10 times before you release the shutter. After all in Austria it costs me about 2-4 € depending on the film I use.
Yes I hope that somebody will buy it, it would be such a cool use case for an NFT.

good luck my friend.
here in Israel, the cost of one Pak is more then $40

yeah it is really expensive here a pack of 600 film costs 20-24€
so about 2,50-4 per shot...🤢

ah, per shoot I see.

Thank you for your contribution to the Analog (FILM) Photog community.
